The Texas Chainsaw Massacre – By Gabz
The Texas Chainsaw Massacre by Gabz: Being a huge fan of what Jason Edmiston and Florian Bertmer did for the same title before me, as hard is it was, I wanted my piece to be something completely different. I’ve been wanting to work on something more editorial-looking for months, and with a title as long as this one, I felt it’s a perfect opportunity not to be wasted.
Since viewers of this classic horror flick are meant to believe it’s based on a true story, custom-designed typo that looks like a front page of some crazy newspaper seemed like a right thing to do.Instead of focusing on just one scene or character, I included several plot points and all the essential characters destined (or not) to end up on Sawyer’s dining table.
Prints available on Thursday April 30 between 1-2 p.m. EST HERE

The Entity – Remake News
We’re used to remakes of every horror film we loved so I shouldn’t be surprised by the news that they are remaking the classic 1983 horror movie The Entity, according to Heat Vision.
James Wan, best known for directing Saw, Dead Silence, The Conjuring, Insidious and now Fast 7 will produce the remake with brothers Chad and Carey Hayes (House of Wax and The Reaping) on board to write the script. Roy Lee (The Ring, Godzilla, The Grudge, Poltergeist) will produce Entity with Wan.
The Entity told the true story of Carla Moran, a single mom who was abused physically and sexually by a supernatural demon. Barbara Hershey played Moran while Ron Silver played a doctor who believes the woman is actually abusing herself and experiencing delusions brought about by a troubled past. Also figuring into the proceedings was a young son, a boyfriend, and two parapsychologists.

Thank You, Mr. Towles

Tom Towles was well known to horror fans for his roles in Zombie’s films House Of 1,000 Corpses, The Devil’s Rejects and Halloween, as well as Prophecy II, and as Otis in Henry: Portrait Of A Serial Killer. R.I.P
I was a few months shy of my 21st birthday when I met Tom Towles. It was Days of the Dead: Atlanta, and I was in town with the intention of hustling the website you’re currently visiting (which was just under a year old at the time), as well as a short film I wrote/produced titled Hoodie Weather. Looking back, I don’t think either one were particularly well-made, but I was young and excited about both.
Days of the Dead had a pretty stacked lineup at that show (as they always do), and I was excited about the potential of meeting lots of industry folks. Immediately after entering the Sheraton Hotel, while searching for Cinema Slasher’s own Dave Harlequin, I bumped shoulders with a large man who immediately turned and apologized. Of course, it was none other than Tom Towles.
I have long considered Henry: Portrait of a…

Amity Island Posters by Ape Meets Girl
Here are Amity Island: Beach Open and Amity Island: Beach Closed by Kevin M. Wilson aka Ape Meets Girl. Both prints are already sold out.
The key focus was the town of Amity and to reference the sign in a way that it welcomes you into the town before and after the shark attack. The prints are full of film references and easter eggs from the Reservoir that Police Chief Brody sends his son to play in, to his house (and letter box), the broken fence to the detail on the beach and buoy in the sea and not forgetting the sign. There may also be an appearance from Jaws himself in one form or another for those who are eagle eyed…there’s more than one shark reference.
